She put her foot down

Five years ago, I met the love of my life—Ashley. Right after we began dating, she started experiencing the worst kind of pelvic pain. At first, it was just during her period. But then she started feeling pain outside of her period, and even pain with sex. The only way I knew how to help was by scheduling her doctor visits. And man, those were a mess! Nobody knew what she was dealing with. They kept telling us it was all in her head since she didn’t show any physical signs of illness. Appointments became a game to us: What will the doctor say today?

After a lot of tests, tears, and hospital visits, my cute Ashley put her foot down. We were going to figure out why she was in pain all the time. And, after 2 years, we finally found a doctor who gave us an answer: endometriosis. We were both so happy to have a name for everything she’d been feeling.

It’s important to get involved,

get others involved, stay strong, and be positive.

Getting a diagnosis like that shouldn’t have been so difficult. That’s why it’s important to get involved, get others involved, stay strong, and be positive. Ashley and I have gotten so much closer in our relationship because of her endo. I’m proud of her and love how she refused to give up. You have to admit, my wife is one determined lady.
